FloatyCal beta information · Updated 6 October 2026

Website, accounts and downloads

FloatyCal provides beta desktop downloads and account connection services. The homepage calendar is a demonstration with fictional meetings. Downloading an installer does not grant calendar or email permission.

Identity and permissions

Account sign-in processes identity information. Authenticated website services use secure session cookies and connection-security state. Calendar and email permissions depend on the provider consent you approve. Gmail sending requires separate permission; a calendar connection does not grant Gmail access. Installing the app does not connect another person’s calendar.

Calendar and device data

Calendar events remain with your Google or Microsoft provider. Desktop features store account credentials using operating-system secure storage and keep local planning information and selected meeting-response snapshots. Some contact preferences are stored locally. Connected server features also keep account, connection and operation records. Server-connected credentials and selected sensitive payloads use application encryption; this does not mean every stored field or older record is encrypted by the application.

Invitations and AI

Invitation access is restricted to the intended recipient and permitted availability window. Availability does not reveal private event titles or attendee lists. AI features, where enabled, process the context supplied for that action. Review the preview before authorizing a meeting change or send. Voice is not enabled in the current packaged beta.

Hosting and payments

Hosting infrastructure processes technical request information to deliver and protect the service. See Vercel’s privacy information. Payment availability depends on the released checkout configuration; an account connection is not payment authorization.

Disconnecting, expiry and erasure

Signing out, disconnecting a provider, expiring an invitation and cancelling a subscription are different actions. They do not automatically erase every stored record. Trial or subscription expiry does not delete your provider calendar meetings. You can manage provider authorization in your Google or Microsoft account; disconnecting can prevent further synchronization.

A complete account export, deletion process, retention schedule and backup-deletion policy are not yet available as a verified public service. No automatic erasure deadline or archival guarantee is promised here. Account metadata controls under development do not constitute a complete export of desktop, invitation and legacy records.

Support and updates

See Support for the current support limitations. Do not send passwords, provider tokens or other people’s private calendar contents in a support request. This notice will need another review before additional server features are enabled.
